Black Mamba

Sleek and fast and deadly serious as its namesake, Black Mamba is a force of nature not to be trifled with. It is sculpted from exotic black limba (also known as Korina), a tone wood revered by aficionados as used in legendary guitars like the original flying V, explorer, and moderne. The highly carved shape follows and embraces the contours of the players’ body; strapped-in, you can truly become one with the instrument.

The neck is a single piece of kabo rosewood, with a dramatic sapwood streak along the bass edge. A dual-action spoke nut truss rod enables perfect playability with any tuning or string gauge. The medium tall stainless steel frets have been dressed to perfection by Plek. Other metal bits are the smooth ball-bearing headless tuner and bridge system by T4M.

A matched set of Bareknuckle “Rebel Yell” humbuckers are controlled by concentric volume and tone knobs. A five-way lever switch allows the player to choose combinations of coils in series or parallel, in or out of phase, while the blower switch (a new one for me!) bypasses all of that and plugs the bridge humbucker direct to the amp for searing solos.
