Mammoth
Spun from fire and gold, Mammoth is quite simply a behemoth of sound.
Eight strings on a multiscale neck bring big low end to any situation, but the compact and ergonomic headless design makes it easy to wield. The body is featherweight white cedar, burned and treated to my newly developed “Dragonskin” finish. The neck, pickguard, and thumb rest are from a perfect quartercut slab of cocobolo with an intense ember colour.
Pickups are custom made, with gold polepieces of course: a Bareknuckle Pickups “Ragnarok” in the bridge, and a single coil Dimarzio “Ionizer” at the neck. Each has its own volume control, and slide switches build into the thumb rest enable turning off the neck coil and/or one bridge coil, for a wide variety of tone combinations.
The individual combination bridge-tuners are a new design, enabling the use of thicker-gauge strings necessary for the low end. They combine 3d-printed steel with 3d-printed bronze, which should develop a beautiful patina with time.
Mammoth is fitted with stainless steel frets on the multiscale fretboard, features a dual-action truss rod, and comes with a heavy-duty Nanuk case.
