the Root

The latest guitar in my Live-Edge series will keep you grounded with its rugged simplicity. The Root is made of a single-piece maple burl with a stunningly dense and explosive grain figuring. Despite the rough edges, it is also ergonomically designed to be superbly easy to play. It balances easily on both the right or left leg, or at a naturally playable angle on a strap.

The neck is a single flawless billet of Kabo rosewood, with the fine grain and glassy smoothness of only the densest rosewoods. Because of the exceptional stiffness of the timber in combination with the Plek-processed fingerboard plane, there is no truss rod required. This intensely resonant wood is thus free to define the tone.

To work with the multiscale fretboard, a unique bridge was required. 3d printed from stainless steel, it features ball bearings for ease of tuning, and my wrap-lock string locks, eliminating the need for a metal headpiece.

The single pickup in the neck position is a Blackhawk (ceramic model) by Bareknuckle Pickups, with a single oversized volume know of matching 3d printed stainless steel. High-end Basiner gig bag included.
